About

Recom.me is a simple Twitter bot with memory. It connects Twitter's interface with The Echo Nest's Recommend API to yield quick, compelling, and easy-to-use artist recommendations. The recom.me website acts as an outboard "memory" for the bot. To begin, visit Twitter (join up, if necessary), and send a message to the user: @recomme Soon after, it should reply with a few recommendations and a link. You can follow the link to this site for more details on your request, following links to the bands elsewhere on the net, or message "more" for a further list of recommendations

I created the site as a proof of concept, combining two technologies (The Echo Nest API & Twitter) of which I am a passionate fan and user. It was done with stolen time, so if the site becomes a burden to run, it may disappear.
