I'm going to be referencing the echonest api's segmentation methods (beat, bar, section, etc) in an upcoming conference paper I'm writing. Is there a specific paper/patent/something else I should use as a cite for this purpose?

Original papers describing some of the segmentation technology were published here:

Creating Music by Listening, Tristan Jehan, PhD Thesis in Media Arts and Sciences. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, September 2005

Perceptual Segment Clustering For Music Description and Time-Axis Redundancy Cancellation, Tristan Jehan, Proceedings of the International Symposium on Music Information Retrieval (ISMIR). Barcelona, Spain, October 2004

Event-Synchronous Music Analysis/Synthesis, Tristan Jehan, Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Digital Audio Effects (DAFx'04). Naples, Italy, October 2004

Wow, tristan, finally some "hardcore low-level" texts to read. Pretty sure I won't understand a tenth of it, but maybe I'll finally find a way to use the timbre coeff ! Thanks
