qwerty50,

The most common cause of this error is that the Tokyo Tyrant server is not running (you need this in addition to Solr). Have you started the server according to, e.g., Step 2. in the README.md?

qwerty50: Can you connect to the server from the command line, e.g., what does the following command give?

$ tcrmgr inform -port 1978 -st localhost

qwerty50,

What OS are you using, and how did you install/configure Tokyo Tyrant/Cabinet?

The reason I ask is that I see something a bit funny:

type on-memory
hash path *

This means that your TTyrant is configured to store the fingerprints as an in-memory hash table. This is fast, but not persistent across server reboots, and that means that Solr will end up out of sync with TTyrant. It is the default if you start the server with no options to tell it to use an on-disk persistent store.

The ttservctl script supplies additional options to set things up similarly to

type hash
path /var/ttserver/casket.tch

which is what you probably want. So please try that instead, and then re-run tcrmgr inform to confirm that it is doing the right thing.

Best,

Andrew

qwerty50,

It looks to me like the Ubuntu tokyotyrant packages don't actually provide the ttservctl script. Rather, it does all its start/stop stuff in the standard way via system scripts in /etc/init.d and /etc/default, which is

So, assuming that you installed it using the package manager, the invocations would probably be something like

/etc/init.d/tokyotyrant [ start | stop | restart | ... ]

Can you see if that works, and then verify that it is set up to use an on-disk hash as per above?

Hi yuren,

It looks like TTyrant is running OK; the error message indicates a problem with your Solr configuration.

What does the Solr terminal output show after Solr has finished launching, and then when you run fp.ingest?

Hi Andrew:

I have a new problem, should I compile codegen in ubuntu system? Is it must to do?

I also want to know how to run the second example in the server's readme file.

I run this cmd in ubuntu:

python api.py

and I got this:

http://0.0.0.0:8080/

But when I input:

http://0.0.0.0:8080/ingest -d "fp_code=eJwty7kNADAMw8BVNILl-Mv-iwWCU11D0g_CQA-USIwoXNEg5YBH3o3-0sil7AHIrAyw&track_id=thisone&length=300&codever=4.12"

I can't connect to it,is that work like I did or I got it in a wrong way?

Thanks.

Hi yuren,

As this question does not concern the song/identify API, please ask in the Echoprint Google Group. That group is better for such general usage and installation type questions.

Thanks!

Hi Andrew: go back to the first question:when I generate list songs with all information allcodes.json I got this message:

1/1 allcodes.json Traceback (most recent call last): File "fastingest.py", line 63, in <module> fp.ingest(codes, do_commit=False) File "../API/fp.py", line 584, in ingest host.add_many(docs) File "../API/solr.py", line 798, in add_many return self._update(xstr, addHandler=addHandler) File "../API/solr.py", line 923, in update rsp = self.post(self.path + addHandler + self.invariant, request, self.xmlheaders) File "../API/solr.py", line 1028, in post return checkresponse_status(self.conn.getresponse()) File "../API/solr.py", line 1279, in check_response_status raise ex solr.SolrHTTPException: HTTP code=500, reason=Severe_errors_in_solr_configuration...

just like qwerty50's problem, the ttservctl is OK, I can see "type hash path /var/ttserver/casket.tch"

what should I do,please help me!
