Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering how artist familiarity and hotttnesss and track hotttnesss are computed. On what data are these analyses based on, and is there a scientific paper I could cite?

Clementferrand - we don't publish the algorithms for these values sorry. They are calculated based upon total activity we see for those artists on the thousands of web sites that we crawl. -- Paul

Thanks. What a pity - these variables would be very interesting for my research, but the lack of transparency and the possibility to cite previous research prevent me from using them.
