Hi All, (Yay, first post!)

I'm looking into making an iPhone app that would use The Echo Nest to sync two songs together. Since the iPhone will not allow apps to send songs to a server, is it possible to get the beat data for a song without uploading it?

I would like to send the Echo Nest an artist/song and get back the audio analysis data. [Does the Echo Nest store data on the songs that it analyses?]

I'm really sorry if this was a silly question, but i'm not a web dev guy..

Loren - we have an alpha version of a set of APIs that will let you search for song and retrieve analysis without having to upload a track. You can read about them here:

These APIs will be part of the official set of APIs real soon. And, btw, not a silly question at all.
